This new class incorporates dance, percussion, and singing. With a live drummer, it's fun and easy to catch onto the dance steps. You and your child will learn this traditional Puerto Rican form of dance, rhythms, improvisation, & songs. Everyone will get to take turns using drums, shakers as well as a guiro. Come have fun and cut loose in this playful exciting class! Taught by, Juan Usera, dancer and percussionist has been performing and teaching in New York City and Puerto Rico for over 20 years. He is the the lead instructor at Los Pleneros de la 21’s Bomba and Plena Children’s Workshops in East Harlem and Mommy and Me Bomba in Brooklyn, and throughout the Department of Education schools.
